Movement should be playful and creative! Our goal is not only to make you stronger, fitter, more flexible, and more agile… We also want to help you find out what kind of movement works for YOU and importantly what you ENJOY doing.
Examples of training styles you can expect
- Kettle bell and weighted movement: Swings, rows, squats, cleans
- Resistance training using bands and static objects
- Balancing and proprioceptive conditioning
- Climbing on and hanging off things
- Jumping on and off things
- Skipping, hopping, leaping, bouncing, rolling
- Holding, balancing, and catching objects of different weights
As well as using more standard fitness equipment — such as weights, kettlebells, resistance bands, fixed bars, ropes, poles — we also like to incorporate objects that occur in our environment such as trees, benches, walls, steps, slabs, to encourage an open minded and creative approach to our physicality and body-awareness in the wider world.
We believe in a blend of variety and consistency. If we experience too much change, too quickly, we can get confused and frustrated. Too much of the same thing and we can get bored and lose motivation.
