A progressive four-part workshop series designed to help your yoga practice evolve — with awareness, depth, and genuine skill. Across four sessions we explored inversions, mobility, and flow: discovering how strength, flexibility, and intention combine to create smoother transitions, greater confidence, and a more embodied way of moving on the mat.

Each workshop included props, optional partner work, and a strong emphasis on safe entries and exits, thoughtful modification, and building confidence through clarity rather than force.

· The series

Four sessions,
one arc.

01
Arm balance — titthibasana
Sat 28 March · 3:00–5:00pm

Inversions & Arm Balances I Past

Root & Rise

Tripod Headstand and Crow Pose — safe setup, confidence-building, and understanding how to go upside down without fear. You'll learn how to bail safely, how to use props intelligently, and where to build arm strength within your regular practice.

Already confident in Crow and Headstand? We'll explore more advanced variations: Side Crow, One-Legged Crow, Koundinyasana, and Headstand variations, with clear progressions throughout.

02
Vasisthasana — side plank variation
Sat 18 April · 3:00–5:00pm

Mobility & Movement Past

Space & Spirals

A focused exploration of backbends, twists, hip mobility, and shoulder mobility, and how these directly support stronger flow and inversions. You'll work through backbending shapes (Camel, Bridge, Upward Facing Bow) and twisting patterns (Marichyasana, Twisted Side Angle), and learn how binds and props can be used to deepen twists safely.

The emphasis is on active mobility and strength through range — creating usable space that feeds back into everyday practice.

03
Handstand
Sat 16 May · 3:00–5:00pm

Inversions & Arm Balances II Past

Freedom in Flight

More dynamic inversion pathways — Handstands and Forearm Balance (Pincha Mayurasana). Using progressive drills, wall support, and props, you'll explore safe approaches including partner and group work and effective spotting. You'll also play with Funky Pinchas, Flying Pigeon, and Grasshopper, with clear progressions and options throughout.

Fully open to beginners and those newer to inversions as well as experienced practitioners. Attending session one is not a prerequisite.

Past session
04
Anjaneyasana crescent pose on the beach
Sat 13 June · 3:00–5:00pm

Flow Foundations Past

Strength in Motion

How yoga flow actually works. We'll break down Surya Namaskar A & B — including Jump-Throughs and Float-Backs — to understand how strength, breath, and timing support smooth, sustainable transitions. You'll explore how Downward Dog becomes an entry point to Handstands and Step-Throughs, and how these blend into the Suryas.

We'll also look at other transitions: Warrior III opening into Half Moon — entering and exiting with control, clarity, and intelligent use of props. These apparent "warm-up" sequences contain more depth than they're usually given. We'll slow them down.
